My dolphin has been inspired by the New Zealand Maui Dolphin. I wanted to do the Maui Dolphin as it is one of the nine dolphins found around the coasts of New Zealand and is critically endangered, this is why I chose to base my design off it as the Ocean Exploration Centre is all about making people aware of New Zealand’s marine life. I have purposefully created my logo design in three different segments to represent the three major aspects of the New Zealand Ocean Exploration Centre, Education, Environment and Exploration. I have also created my dolphin in the shape of a circle to represent community and coming together which I believe is what the Ocean Exploration Center is all about
